Our grassroots programs are our players' first introduction to team-based participation along with a focus on individual skill development. Our priorities during this fundamental phase of learning are to balance skill development and small sided game formats with an enjoyable experience that will foster a passion for the game of soccer. Players in grassroots programs participate in separate gendered single year groups where possible (e.g.; BU5, GU5, BU6. GU6….) and are coached by NCCP community certified volunteer coaches. Sessions are supervised by members of the OUSC Technical staff and for each week coaches are provided with detailed session plans focused around a variety of skill development topics. Fall and Winter grassroots programming takes place once a week. Player require Indoor running shoes and shin pads.

FIELD LOCATION - CAVALRY FC FIELDHOUSE, 125 Fieldhouse Drive East, Aldersyde

Our Boys Grassroots program is open to players born 2018-2020.

Fall Session starts October 19th 2024 ends December 14th (no soccer Dec 7th)

Winter session starts February 8th 2025 ends April 5th (no soccer Feb 15th)

BU5 Group (2020 born) will play Saturday mornings 9-10am.

BU6 (2019) and BU7 (2018) groups will play Saturday mornings 10-11am. Our aim is to have separate age groups but this is dependent on registration numbers.

COST $170.00 for Fall OR Winter session (includes Kit (Jersey, shorts and socks), team photo, medal and ASA insurance.

Optional GRASSROOTS ACADEMY (SKILLS) SESSIONS - Wednesdays 5.30-6.30pm $110.00 start October 30th 2024 (7 weeks) for Fall season and February 12th 2025 (no session Feb 19th) (7 weeks) for Winter season. To register for the Academy sessions, check the box at the end of the player info form during registration.
